Eric Swalwell resigned from Congress and dropped out of the California governor's race after multiple women accused him of sexual assault. And you know what? Democrats did the right thing. Unions pulled support. Party leaders called for him to go. He's gone.

That's exactly what happened with Al Franken in 2017. Democrats forced him out — some now say too quickly — but the point stands: the party held its own accountable.

Now ask yourself: how many Republicans demanded accountability when their own was credibly accused? Donald Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts, faced 88 criminal charges across four cases, and was credibly accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women. The GOP's response? They made him president — twice.

Imagine a Republican Party that held the same standard Democrats do. Imagine what a different country we'd be living in right now.

Democrats aren't perfect. But they are the only party that actually enforces consequences — even when it's painful and even when it costs them. That's what accountability looks like. Where's yours, GOP?
