Israel just pumped the brakes — hard. While the US-Israeli air campaign Operation Epic Fury has been battering Iranian infrastructure since late February, Israeli defense officials are now publicly rejecting Trump's push for a full-scale ground invasion of Iran. The message from Tel Aviv? The skies are one thing. The ground is a whole different war.
Senior IDF brass aren't sugarcoating it — a land operation into Iran isn't just risky, it's described as logistically and strategically near-impossible. We're talking about a massive country, deeply entrenched defenses, and supply lines that would stretch to their absolute limit. This isn't a debate about willpower. It's a hard reality check.
The air campaign has already done serious damage — missile infrastructure decimated, Iranian strike capacity down dramatically since day one. But boots on Iranian soil? That's an entirely different commitment, one Israel clearly isn't willing to sign up for regardless of what Washington is pushing.
