According to multiple military sources and support organizations for service members, Marines are filing emergency requests for conscientious objector status in growing numbers. These claims are being submitted in an effort to avoid deployment to the Middle East amid the ongoing escalation.
Conscientious objection allows service members to seek discharge or reassignment if they have sincere moral, ethical, or religious objections to participating in a particular war. The sudden spike in such requests is being described as unprecedented in recent U.S. conflicts.
The development was first highlighted in a widely shared post that quickly went viral. One high-profile reply captured the shock felt by many:
“Do you have any idea how f*cked your 'war' has to be for US Marines to nope out of it?”
The statement reflects growing unease inside the military over the justification, cost, and objectives of the Iran operation. While the Pentagon has not released official numbers, sources close to the situation say the volume of claims has increased sharply in recent weeks as more units receive deployment orders.
This internal dissent comes as the Trump administration continues to send thousands of additional troops to the region, including elements of the 82nd Airborne Division. Critics argue the war lacks clear objectives and has already strained military readiness and morale.
The White House and Pentagon have not yet issued a formal response to reports of the rising conscientious objector claims.
The situation adds to the mounting domestic pressure on the administration, coming just days after millions of Americans participated in nationwide “No Kings” protests against the Iran policy.

Iran Just Told Trump To Go Fuck Himself.
Iran's Foreign Minister just went on Al Jazeera and said "the trust level is at zero" with the United States.
And honestly? What the fuck did anyone expect?
Let's recap this absolute masterclass in diplomatic self-destruction, shall we?
2015: Iran negotiates in good faith. Sits at the table for years. Gets a deal. The JCPOA. Verified by international inspectors. Working.
2018: Trump rips it up. No reason. Just vibes and a Sharpie.
2025: Iran comes back to the table AGAIN. Talks in Oman, Rome, Muscat. Both sides say "constructive." Then what happens? Trump's deadline passes and he bombs them.
WHILE THEY WERE STILL TALKING.
2026: They try AGAIN in Geneva. And Trump attacks them AGAIN. Mid-negotiation. Again.
And now this absolute pelican is on Truth Social saying Iran is "begging" to make a deal while their Foreign Minister is on international television saying "We don't see honesty."
You negotiated with them. Got a deal. Tore it up. Negotiated again. Bombed them. Tried again. Bombed them AGAIN. And now you're confused why they won't pick up the phone?
That's not negotiation. That's an abusive relationship. And Iran just went public and said they're done.
This is what happens when you let a malignant narcissist run foreign policy. He genuinely cannot comprehend that other countries remember what he did last time. In his head, every interaction starts fresh because HE doesn't carry consequences. But everyone else does.
60% of Americans say this war has gone too far. Iran has shut the Strait of Hormuz. Oil prices are through the roof. And the bloke who caused all of it is standing at a podium saying "they're begging."
Nobody is begging, Donald. They've just told the entire world they think you're full of shit.
And 8 billion people watched and nodded. Including me.

Israel just pumped the brakes — hard. While the US-Israeli air campaign Operation Epic Fury has been battering Iranian infrastructure since late February, Israeli defense officials are now publicly rejecting Trump's push for a full-scale ground invasion of Iran. The message from Tel Aviv? The skies are one thing. The ground is a whole different war.
Senior IDF brass aren't sugarcoating it — a land operation into Iran isn't just risky, it's described as logistically and strategically near-impossible. We're talking about a massive country, deeply entrenched defenses, and supply lines that would stretch to their absolute limit. This isn't a debate about willpower. It's a hard reality check.
The air campaign has already done serious damage — missile infrastructure decimated, Iranian strike capacity down dramatically since day one. But boots on Iranian soil? That's an entirely different commitment, one Israel clearly isn't willing to sign up for regardless of what Washington is pushing.
This split signals something important: the US and Israel may share objectives, but they don't share a blank check. As this conflict enters its second month, expect more tension behind the scenes — two allies, one war, and growing disagreements about just how far to take it.

China is experimenting with a bold approach to data center cooling, placing AI servers underwater to drastically reduce freshwater consumption.
By using the surrounding seawater for passive cooling, engineers can maintain optimal server temperatures without relying on conventional water-intensive chillers. This method also improves energy efficiency while supporting the massive computational demands of modern AI systems.
Early deployments show that submerged servers can operate safely and reliably while significantly lowering the environmental footprint of data centers. Researchers see potential for scaling this approach in coastal regions where freshwater is limited.
If widely adopted, underwater AI data centers could become a model for sustainable, high-performance computing worldwide.

Re poss nuke war blasts......
With everyone talking about nuclear war, I looked up what to do if you want to live. Crawling under your school desk wasn't listed.
First, redirect your gaze away from the bomb. The blinding flash produced by a nuclear detonation and the orange fireball that follows can cause blindness. Your next move should be to throw yourself to the ground as swiftly as possible, with your face downwards. Tuck your hands beneath your body for protection against burns, debris and flames.
Should you have something to cover your nose and mouth, use it, and keep your mouth open to prevent your eardrums from rupturing due to pressure changes. After the bomb explodes, find shelter immediately that's underground or in the middle or a tall building built of concrete, brick, or another dense substance. Put as much space between you and the fallout as possible.
Nuclear fallout is the dust, soil, and fission products, hurled into the atmosphere by a nuclear explosion, and falls back to earth minutes to hours later. It's extremely dangerous within the first 24-72 hours when it causes acute radiation sickness and long-term cancer risks. Immediate, thick, preferably underground shelter is essential, and the highest risk of fatal exposure is within 10-20 miles of the blast.
Radioactive particles often look like sand or dust, producing intense gamma radiation and the first 24 hours are the most critical; radioactivity decreases by about 90% in the first 7 hours. The deadliest areas are downwind. Do not to outside during this time. It would be fatal.
Acute radiation syndrome will cause nausea, vomiting, hair loss, and, in severe cases, even death within weeks. This is why it's important to follow instructions exactly. Remove outer clothing to eliminate 90% of contamination, then wash with water, but avoid using conditioner, because it will bind radioactive particles to your hair. Remain indoors for at least 48 hours, ideally up to 9 days to allow for radioactivity decay. Bag your contaminated clothing.
Hopefully, you quickly grabbed water or food on your way to shelter. If you're in a large building, search for an employee lunch room, food and drink machines, or even employee desks. Eat only sealed food and bottled water. There will be a contamination of normal water sources, food chains, and the surrounding soil.
Stay inside as long as possible. When you leave, head in a direction away from where the bomb hit. Make sure to stay hydrated with sealed water. Watch out for those who see this as a chance to break the law, committing acts of violence, and believe they're now above the law. Protect yourself and your loved ones.
